Are you aware that a prepaid funeral plan could put you in charge of your own legacy, and the latter stages of your life? For those who want to prevent their funeral from being organised by anyone but them, it could be a very useful option. If you die without a plan in place, others in your family will need to make hard choices on your behalf, as well as having to pay out of their own pockets. On the contrary, having a plan in place allows you both to live and to pass away in peace knowing that everything is sorted in advance. Furthermore, you can keep today's funeral prices, even if your plan isn't needed for many years: We at Aura place your money into a secure, independently managed trust so that it is safe and ready for when it is time to be used. You can also pay a lump sum for the full cost of your plan, or in 12-24 instalments at no extra cost, as you prefer. We would be more than happy to help you to understand your options in a phone call if you're ready to get in touch. You can also request a free quote on our website.
Did you know that, according to figures found in the SunLife Cost of Dying Report 2024, the average price of a funeral in the UK could be more than double the starting price of an Aura funeral plan? Our starting price is £1,695, whereas the average price according to SunLife is £4,141. We hope that this information is welcome to you, as we know that the expense of funerals is one of the most pressing concerns that our customers have. Our prices don't vary based on location, so you can benefit from these savings whether you're in Stoke or anywhere else in mainland Britain.
Aura's funeral plans are designed to be as useful to you as possible, which is why they are so flexible. If you find that your tastes or wishes have evolved over time, and you now would like something different to what you originally organised -- or indeed, if you need to completely cancel for any reason -- we are glad to be able to allow that. Cancelling couldn't be easier, as you won't have to pay a penalty, and the same goes for making any amendments. You will only need to pay if you want to upgrade your plan, for example from a funeral with no guests to something which is attended.
Having purchased a funeral plan, you might well wonder how things will work once you've passed away and it's time to activate everything. That's a perfectly normal question to have, but, don't worry, our funeral plans are designed to function seamlessly when the moment comes. A big part of the purchasing process is to select one of your close friends or family members to be your nominated representative, who will step in after you've passed away to coordinate things with us. It's our responsibility to support them, and we will have already made sure that they have a helpful document which explains the steps they need to go through, starting with notifying us of your passing. We will work together to get the legal paperwork sorted, as well as the particulars of your cremation ceremony. You can rest assured that your wishes will be seamlessly coordinated and honoured.
Aura has a unique and powerful backstory, and it is also a family business. We were founded back in 2019 by Paul Jameson, two years after he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease. When Paul couldn't find anything that would help him prepare things for his family before the end of his life, he decided to solve the problem by starting Aura -- the ultimate gift for his loved ones. Our company is the result of his vision, and as a result, we have an unwavering philosophy of care and compassion at the heart of what we do. Today, Paul continues to support his son Dave (our CEO) and Ben, a family friend, in the company's day-to-day affairs. It means the service you will receive is exactly the sort of care that Paul would want for himself and for his own family.
