Aura’s five-star and family-run direct cremation services are there for you in your time of need.
If you need help arranging a funeral now, or think you may need to make arrangements in the near future, we’re here to help and will do all we can to answer any questions you may have.
If you feel that a simple yet dignified direct cremation would be appropriate, please be assured that we’ll support you every step of the way.
We’ll bring the person who’s died into our care and look after them until the time comes. They’ll be cremated privately, after which we can either hand-deliver the ashes specially to you at home, or we can scatter them on your behalf at the crematorium’s Garden of Remembrance – whatever you think would be best.
If you decide to call us about arranging a funeral for a loved one or friend, it’s our Angels who you’ll speak to. They combine their compassion with their knowledge of funeral arranging to make sure that your experience is comforting and seamless.
Whether you’d like a simple direct cremation or a fully attended service, our Angels will do right by you. They cannot be found anywhere else, and we couldn’t serve our families without them. Take a look at what they’re saying about us on Trustpilot, where we have a score of 4.9/5 stars.
Our families have made us the highest-rated cremation services provider on Trustpilot. It’s difficult to know which provider to put our trust in, but the compassion of the Aura Angels is something you can rely on.
Aura was founded by Paul Jameson and his son David, following Paul’s motor-neurone-disease diagnosis. He wants families to gain from his experience of legacy planning, so we only offer the service quality he’d want for his own family.
With Aura, you’ll only ever pay for what you need, because we want to spare you from unnecessary costs at this difficult time. We’re glad to tell you that, with our direct cremation options, you could pay less than half of the average UK funeral cost.
At Aura, we want to make sure that the life of each loved one we commemorate is honoured properly, which means that we offer a range of funerals, with different prices.
The figures below show you the starting price for each of our services. To get a clear quote for your loved one’s bespoke funeral, our compassionate Angel team is just a phone call away.

After the medical verification has been carried out, we will arrange to bring your loved one into care as soon as possible.
Our Aura Angels will guide you through the death registration process and the legal forms that will need to be completed.
Our compassionate Angels team will be on hand to support you through every step of the process – it’s what they do best.

A direct cremation is an increasingly popular, more affordable alternative to a traditional funeral. There are usually no mourners present; we bring the person who has died to our mortuary facilities from where they passed away. And then, when it’s time, we bring them to the crematorium where they are cremated.
A direct cremation is usually a lot cheaper than a traditional option. That’s because it doesn’t include expensive formalities like a hearse or floral tributes. It also gives people an alternative to tradition, if that’s not something they would be comfortable with. It can also be less stressful to arrange.
With Aura, you absolutely can. Direct cremations usually proceed without mourners, but we have two different attended direct cremation services to choose from – ‘Wonderfully Imagined: Intimate’, and ‘Attended’. Our ‘Intimate’ option allows up to 15 close friends and family to attend a short service. We also have an ‘Attended’ option: as many guests as can be accommodated by the crematorium can attend a service lasting for up to 45 minutes.
Of course we can. All you need to do is let your existing funeral director know that you’d like us to take care of you. Just make sure to settle any remaining fees you might owe them, and then we can get straight to work on bringing your loved one into our care.
You have a choice about what happens with the ashes after cremation. We can either hand-deliver them to your door in a durable scatter-tube. This means that they are ready to be released at a location dear to your loved one. Or we can simply scatter them on your behalf at the crematorium’s own garden of remembrance – it’s up to you.
If you would like to arrange a viewing at a Chapel of Rest, we may be able to help. If this is important to you, please do not hesitate to give our team a call and we can discuss the options with you.
