A direct cremation follows many of the similar processes of a traditional cremation but does not include a formal service or ceremony. In Cambridge and across the country, Aura can help you arrange the collection of the person who has passed to be cremated respectfully and without guests in attendance. You can then honour the life of your loved one privately and in your own time. Following the cremation, ashes can be scattered in the crematorium’s garden or personally returned to the family.

Our pricing is designed to be less expensive than the national average which is currently £4,141 according to the SunLife Cost of Dying Report 2024. We also offer an attended cremation service from £1,895, giving families the flexibility to choose the option that best meets their needs.
Yes, although an unattended direct cremation is the most common service chosen by our clients, we also offer attended direct cremation services in Cambridge. This will include a small, intimate gathering with your loved ones, allowing you to say goodbye.
