If you have any questions, would like a brochure or simply would like a chat through our services, our award-winning team is here to help.
Unlike other providers, we won’t hassle you with constant calls. We’ll simply ensure you have the information you need and leave you to come to a decision in your own time. When you’re ready for us, our team will be ready to help.
To put it simply, a funeral plan works like this: you would pay a set amount at today's prices with a company like Aura, whether in a one-off payment or in instalments, letting us know the details of what sort of funeral you would like. Then, when the time comes, the money you've paid is used to put your plan into action. Your money goes into an independently managed trust, separate from Aura. This means that even if your funeral is not for many years, there won't be any difference left to pay when the time comes. If you'd like to gain a bit more control over the final phase of your life, as well as what happens after you're gone, you might want to consider purchasing a funeral plan. You can rest assured knowing that the funeral you would like has been planned ahead, and the money needed to pay for it is ready and waiting.
As we know, funerals can be very expensive, especially during times of financial hardship. Please take some comfort in the fact that an Aura funeral, based on figures in the 2024 SunLife Cost of Dying Report, could be less than half the price of the average funeral in the UK (£4,141). Our funeral plans in Babworth start at £1,695, but do bear in mind that the cost can vary depending on what kind of funeral you would like to organise. Our plans are also all-inclusive, meaning that there are no extra charges for the removal of medical devices prior to cremation, or for collecting your body and bringing it into our care. We'd be very glad to receive your call if you have any questions for us on this subject or feel free to request a quote directly on our website.
Full flexibility is one of the main advantages available to you if you opt for one of our plans. We want things to be as easy as possible for you, so, if you decide after paying that you'd like to cancel at any time, there won't be any fees or delays. And should you need to make any amendments to your service in Babworth, we can easily take care of that for you; you'll only need to pay extra if you decide to upgrade your plan. As ever, if you'd like to discuss any of this with us, we are ready and waiting for your call.
Our plans are well suited to those who aren't comfortable with the formality associated with traditional funerals. Instead, we offer a simpler alternative, without things like hearses and pallbearers, so if you're the kind of person who isn't comfortable with that sort of thing, then one of our direct cremation funeral plans could work for you. If you were to purchase one, you would nominate a responsible person who can oversee things after you're gone; we would provide them with a leaflet that explains what to do when you have passed away. Once they notify us of your passing, we can activate the plan you've put together and paid for, and organise your ceremony. If there won't be any guests at your funeral, we would simply support your nominated person with the legal paperwork, or, if there are, we would also arrange the funeral together with them.
Unlike other companies in our industry, Aura has a personal touch woven into its fabric. We are family-run, having been founded by Paul Jameson when he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease back in 2017, and we are now run by him, his son Dave, and Ben -- a family friend. Our empathetic and knowledgeable team of funeral arrangers will work hard for you, and we are the only direct cremation plan provider with two plan options rated at five stars by independent experts, Fairer Finance.
