How to Talk About Funeral Wishes: A Live Conversation

Join Emily (Content & Community Executive) and Tamsin (Head of Funerals) at Aura on Thursday 27 August 2026, 11:00 AM · 40 minutes.

For most of us, this is the talk we know we should have, but haven’t figured out how to start it. This free session offers a relaxed, honest space to think it through out loud.

A recording will be sent to everyone who has registered after the event, so don’t worry if you can’t make it.

What to expect during the webinar

Join an honest conversation between two people who’ve spoken to hundreds of families about exactly this. A relaxed look at the moments that come up again and again, and practical ways through them.

Here’s what we’ll talk about:

  • Starting a side-by-side conversation, rather than a big sit-down
  • What to do when family members react differently to each other, or in unexpected ways
  • How to know when the time is actually right

Expect live polls and open discussion as we go, and time for your questions throughout.

Can’t make the date? Register anyway and we’ll send you the recording.

Who this is for

This webinar is for you if…
  • You’ve been meaning to talk to your family about your funeral wishes but aren’t sure how to start.
  • You’ve already read our guide and want to go further.
  • You’re supporting a parent or older relative through this, rather than thinking about your own wishes.
  • You’ve lost someone recently and don’t want your own family facing that same uncertainty.
  • You’re someone who is simply curious about the topic
