Many in Woking find purchasing a prepaid funeral plan advantageous for ensuring their funeral reflects their personal wishes and for gaining ownership of their legacy. This planning relieves your loved ones from having to arrange your funeral for you during a difficult time when they will be grieving. The cost of the funeral is locked in at today’s prices, payable either all at once or in instalments depending on what you prefer. You may also be interested to know that Aura offers all-inclusive plans, covering all expenses including doctor's fees and the removal of medical devices before cremation, without extra costs. Please give us a call if you think a funeral plan could work for you, whether you're in Woking or anywhere else; we'd be glad to help you understand your options and to put a plan in place that caters to your needs.
Funeral costs are among the most pressing concerns that people have when they are looking for a plan, and it's not hard to see why. According to figures found in the SunLife Cost of Dying Report 2024, the average price of a funeral in the UK is £4,141. Our plans, however, start at £1,695, which is less than half of that price. We are proud to be able to offer our services at such a competitive price, especially without compromising on the quality we provide. Our prices also hold across mainland Britain, not just for those in Woking. If you're interested in learning more about our prices, feel free to give us a call.
Another way in which Aura's funeral plans can provide you with peace of mind is in knowing that you have the freedom to change your mind about things in the future should you need to. Go ahead and cancel your plan for any reason and we'll refund you, no questions asked. You can also change an existing plan, making it smaller or bigger, should you need. We won't charge you an admin fee or penalise you either for amending or cancelling. You'll only need to pay the difference if you change your plan to a bigger one. Give us a call if you have any questions about that, or if you have a plan you'd like to change or cancel; we'd be happy to help.
When the buying process of your funeral plan has been finalised, we will ask you to appoint a special person who can act as your representative. It's the job of this person -- a trusted friend or family member -- to notify us of your passing so that your funeral plan can be put into action. They will already have been supplied by us with a handy leaflet that explains all of the steps they need to go through, meaning that they will be gently guided through the difficult time. It's up to us to support them with the legal paperwork, and, should your funeral ceremony have guests present, we will also help them to coordinate the events of the day. You can have peace of mind knowing that you will be brought swiftly into our care and that your funeral will unfold exactly as you intended.
Aura's story as a family-founded and run company is a big part of our identity and helps us to stand out. Paul Jameson founded the company in 2019 alongside his son, Dave (our CEO) and a family friend, Ben. He was inspired to do this after he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease back in 2017, wanting to share the legacy-planning tools with all of us that he needed to set up his family before the end of his life. It means that a strong family consciousness is at the heart of everything we do, and when we offer you our service, we mean it when we say "from our family to yours".
